Oman win three medals at Special Olympics World Winter Games in Austria

Muscat: Omani athletes won three medals -- including two silver and a bronze -- in the Special Olympics World Winter Games in Austria.
The athletes to make Oman proud are Raya bint Humaid Al Hasani, Shatha bint Mubarak Al Hasani and Abdulrahman bin Khalfan Al Raqadi.
Raya Al Hasani won the second palce in the F16 division of snowshoeing 200m competition while Shatha Al Hasani also won the second place in the F15 divison of snowshoeing 200m competition.

Abdurrahman Al Raqadi won the third place in the M06 division of snowshoeing 200m competition.
Meanwhile, High Highness Sayyid Faisal bin Turki Al Said, Chairman of the Special Olympics Oman, met the Omani delegation in Graz where he addressed the participants from the
youth leaders and their partners from around the world representing the seven regions.
He stressed the ‘importance of their role and the noble humanitarian mission they hold as capable volunteers on change and challenge’.
