Oman's Alawi receives Belarus minister, tourism agreement signed

Muscat: Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs received in his office on Monday Vladimir Makei, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus and his accompanying delegation, who are on a two-day official visit to the Sultanate.
The meeting reviewed the existing friendship relations in political, economic and commercial fields and exchanged views towards a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest.

The Belarusian Foreign Affairs Minister’s visit to the Sultanate was crowned by signing at the Foreign Ministry’s premises a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in tourism field. The MoU was signed by Ahmed bin Nasser Al Mahrzi, Minister of Tourism and Vladimir Makei, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus. The honorary consulate building for the Republic of Belarus in the Sultanate was also opened.
The meeting was attended by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Secretary General of the Foreign Ministry, Mohammed bin Awadh Al Hassan, Acting Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Diplomatic Affairs, Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Hinai, Head of East Europe Administration, Dr. Sergei Rachkov, the non-resident accredited Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to the Sultanate and the Belarusian minister’s accompanying delegation.
