Oman's interior minister in Kuwait for protection of children conference

Muscat: Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior and his accompanying delegation arrived in the State of Kuwait on Monday to take part in Kuwait’s first regional conference on the protection of children against hazards of social networking.
He was received upon arrival by Sheikh Khalid Al Jarah Al Sabah, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Interior in the State of Kuwait, Hamed bin Said Al Ibrahim, the Sultanate’s Ambassador to Kuwait and a number of officials in Kuwait.
The conference aims at combatting and protecting children against abuse by these sites. It also aimed at raising awareness of the risks associated with social networks.
A number of working papers will be presented in the conference to stress the importance of protecting children and instilling noble values in their hearts.
Earlier, the Minister of Interior and his accompanying delegation were seen off by Sheikh Said bin Mohammed Al Braiki, Advisor at the Ministry of Interior and Fahd bin Hajr Al Mutairi, Ambassador of the sisterly State of Kuwait to the Sultanate and a number of officials from the Ministry of Interior and Royal Oman Police.
