Oman crime: Attempt to smuggle psychotropic drugs foiled

Musandam: Officer from the Royal Oman Police (ROP) foiled an attempt to smuggle 35,000 psychotropic pills in Musandam.
The Department of Narcotics Control at Musandam Police Department, in cooperation with the ROP Coast Guards, foiled a smuggling operation in the governorate.
A senior official said, “Based on the information we gained, the suspects hid the drugs on Abu Seer Island in Wilayat Khasab and by inquiries and investigations we found two plastic bags containing 35,000 Tramadol pills.
