River of mud traps woman in Peru

A woman, caught unaware, found herself trapped in a river of mud and debris and had no choice but to fight her way back to safety. The drama unfolded in Punta Hermosa, just outside Lima. Thirty-two year-old Evangelina Chamorro Diaz eventually managed to cross to safety, bystanders cheering her on. Later in hospital, she said she survived by grabbing debris, anything that would support her.
