Dar Al Atta’a International Food Fair attracts people of all nationalities in Oman

Muscat: An International Food Fair (IFF) was recently organised by Dar Al Atta’a at the InterContinental Hotel gardens with a variety of foods to try and cultural performances.
The charity group was able to raise more than OMR9,000 for carrying out different initiatives started by them for underprivileged families that are registered with the charity.
“Basically the festival aims to bring together different cultures from various parts of the world together in Oman. The event included many corners from embassies of different countries where they cooked their traditional and popular dishes and the turnout was not expected. The large number of visitors that attended was overwhelming, we had almost 4000 people in the garden.
“We would like to thank all the embassies that took part as well as our sponsors, the Intercontinental Hotel Muscat, who were our strategic partners, as well as Al Jarwani Hospitality, who were our main sponsors, Dhahabi- Oman flour mills were our gold sponsors, Business International Group were our silver sponsors. Our media sponsors were Muscat Media Group (MMG), Apex Press and Publishing as well as Hala and Hi FM stations,” said May Al Bayat, Marketing Director at Dar Al Atta’a.
A total of 30 stalls representing different countries were featured at the event. At the same time various stage performances from Iraq, Oman, Indonesia, India and other countries were also presented.
Arifa, a 14-year-old who visited the festival said that she was delighted to have come, “I am so happy to come here, it is one of the best food festivals I have seen in Muscat. I tried different delicacies from Qatar and India and loved the stage performances.”
