Oman Cricket: Zawawi Powertech, Al Mada in final

Muscat: Zawawi Powertech and Al Mada entered the final of the Oman Cricket Senior Cup Knockout Tournament with contrasting semifinal victories over New Prism and Fairtrade respectively.
In the first semifinal, Zawawi Powertech defeated New Prism by six wickets. Batting first, New Prism were all out for 124 in 20 overs. Nishad and Prabhakaran claimed two wickets each for Powertech. In reply, Zawawi Powertech scored 125 for four in 15.5 overs with Murali top scoring with an unbeaten 73.

Al Mada edge Fairtrade
In the second semifinal, Al Mada Engineering recorded a thrilling four-run win over Fairtrade. Batting first, Al Mada Engineering were all out for 116 in 19.1 overs with Kashif top scoring with 37. Sufyan Mehmood claimed four wickets for Fairtrade. In reply, Fairtrade were restricted to 112 for nine in 20 overs. Rauf Sattar claimed two wickets for Al Mada.

Bahihi beat NBO
Meanwhile, Bahihi and Aptus Infotech have booked a place in the Intermediate Cup final.
In the first semifinal, Bahihi defeated National Bank of Oman (NBO) by 10 runs. Batting first, Bahihi were all out for 132 in 18.4 overs with Murad Khan top scoring with 25. But they managed to restrict NBO for 122 for seven in 20 overs. Murad Khan, Kishore Krishnan and Sameer Sheikh claimed two wickets apiece for Bahihi.

Aptus defeat Abu Maather

In the second semifinal, Aptus Infotech defeated Abu Maather by 38 runs. Batting first, Aptus Infotech scored 165 for nine in 20 overs. Biji Sundar top scored with an unbeaten 65. In reply, Abu Maather scored 160 for eight in 20 overs. Suhail top scored with an unbeaten 52. Vijay Kumar claimed two wickets for Aptus.

Ahli Bank win thriller
The Junior Cup final will see Ahli Bank take on Dougals OHI. In the first semifinal, Ahli Bank recorded a thrilling one run win over Unique Elegant.
Batting first, Ahli Bank were all out for 156 in 19.3 overs with Farukh Jamal top scoring with 46. Vicky Mandavia claimed four wickets for Unqiue Elegant. In reply, Unique Elegant were all out for 155 in 19.5 overs. Mohammed Nabeel claimed three wickets for Ahli Bank.

Dougals OHI down Khalsa
In the second semifinal, Dougals OHI defeated Khalsa United by four wickets. Batting first, Khalsa United scored 153 for five in 20 overs with Mohammed Parvez top scoring with 35. In reply, Douglas OHI scored 156 for six in 19.1 overs with Mohammed Shaneed top scoring with 52. Arvind Singh claimed three wickets in vain for Khalsa United.
