Muscat: Two of the country's biggest companies are joining forces to provide a smoother customer experience for residents.
Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate, has opened retail offices within the premises of Omantel in Duqm and Khasab.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Oman Air and Omantel recently to set up the offices.
“There will be a number of benefits to the move including Oman Air having the use of existing Omantel’s self-service kiosk machines for online check-in, co-operation on an e-commerce platform as well as overall joint marketing activities,” the airline said.
Oman Air offices in these locations will provide the guests with full-fledged ticketing and reservation services.
“Oman Air will also co-operate with Omantel on an e-commerce platform using the existing B2B and B2C originally launched by Omantel, helping boost Oman Air’s interactions with other businesses and consumers,” the airline added.
Oman Air staff at both offices will work in two shifts from 9am to 9pm.
The Khasab office is located in the LuLu Centre and the Duqm office, is located in the centre of Duqm town.
Omantel has 70 retail offices in total across Oman which will be utilised for further collaboration and expansion between the two companies
