#OmanPride: Field day for children at Muscat book fair

Muscat: Besides a play ‘The Smurf Village’ as well as a musical band performance, the 22nd Muscat International Book Fair featured workshops and activities for children on Sunday. The Oman Bin Khattab Institute for Special Needs organised a series of interactive workshops, including teaching people how to read and write in braille.

Sultan Qaboos Centre for Culture and Science organised a discussion forum on the book titled "Endless Forms Most Beautiful" for American researcher Sean B. Carroll which won Sultan Qaboos Award for Culture, Art and Literature in the field of translation.
The event was organised at Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre in the presence of Hamad bin Sinan Al Ghaithi. The book is translated into Arabic by Hamad Sinan Al Ghaithi (who attended the event) and Abdullah bin Hamad Al Ma'amri. It is worth mentioning that the Sultan Qaboos Award for Culture, Arts and Literature is the biggest one recognising innovative achievements at the local and regional level.
