Sunaidi to preside over open software conference in Oman

Muscat: A conference on supporting the free and open software will open on Tuesday.
Dr. Ali bin Masud Al Sunaidi, Minister of Commerce and Industry will preside over the opening of the third edition of the conference on the Free and Open-Source Software at Sultan Qaboos University.
The conference aimed to support the initiative of free and open software and to enhance awareness on the use and development of software.
The conference will see 10 workshops being organised besides briefings on 11 research studies.
It is worth mentioning that the National Initiative for the Support of Free and Open Source Software aimed to encourage innovation and efforts of Omani talents in the field of development of software.
