According to the police, the alleged killer, an Arab national, was arrested in Adam.
An Indian consular agent in Salalah confirmed the death on Friday and said the victim was working at a hotel in Salalah.
“The victim is a 42-year-old woman from the south Indian state of Kerala. She was identified as Sindhu Kumari from Thiruvananthapuram. Her body is still in Oman,” Manpreet Singh, the Indian consular agent, said.

“On the night of the murder, he carried a white weapon (knife) and was able to enter the victim’s home in a residential complex,” added the source.
“He assaulted her and stabbed her several times. He then stole her gold jewellery and fled from the scene,” added the source in ROP.
