His Majesty Sultan Qaboos receives message from French president

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said received a written message from President Francois Hollande of the French Republic.
The message was received by His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers when he received yesterday Jack Lang, President of the Arab World Institute in Paris.
During the meeting, the French guest conveyed greetings of President Hollande to His Majesty the Sultan, along with his best wishes of success to His Majesty and the Omani people further progress and prosperity.
Sayyid Fahd commended the existing bilateral relations between the two countries and the progress being witnessed by these relations in various spheres, thanks to the joint keenness of both sides to enhance them. Sayyid Fahd stressed importance of the Arab World Institute's role in encouraging the cultural cooperation in different arenas, as well as activating communication between France and the Arab world.
The conversation during the meeting dealt with means of supporting the joint cooperation areas, in addition to exchanging viewpoints on a number of current issues and developments in the international arena.
Sayyid Fahd asked the French guest to convey greetings and best wishes of His Majesty the Sultan to President Hollande and the French people further progress.
The meeting was attended by Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs and Roland Dubertrand Ambassador of the French Republic to the Sultanate.
