Oman Majlis panel reviews Gulf Cooperation Council value added tax draft pacts

Muscat: Two draft agreements for the standard Gulf Cooperation Council value added tax were reviewed by the Majlis A’Shura’s Economic and Financial Committee yesterday.
The Committee held its second meeting of the second annual sitting (2016/2017) of the 8th term (2015/2019) under the chair of Dr. Saleh bin Said Musan, Head of the Committee.
During the meeting, the committee reviewed the two draft agreements for the standard GCC value added tax and excise tax, which have been referred by the Council of Ministers.
The Committee also discussed its executive programme for February and March 2017.
It also reviewed the report on the outcomes of discussing the statement of the Minister of Tourism while hosting him at the 10th and 11th sessions.
The Committee reviewed a number of letters including the letter of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry branch in North Al Batinah.
