Oman transport: Phase one of Mingal-Wadi Bani Jaber Road project opened in Sur

Sur: Phase One of Mingal-Wadi Bani Jaber Road Project in the Wilayat of Sur, South Al Sharqiyah Governorate was opened for traffic, yesterday (Sunday). The 16.7 kilometre–road serves the villages of Wad, A’abat, Adah, Sinaf, Al Shabika and other villages in the wilayat of Sur.
Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Futaisi, Minister of Transport and Communications inspected the road. He was accompanied by Salim bin Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport and Communications for Transport; Sheikh Abdullah bin Mustahail bin Salim Shamas, Governor of South Al Sharqiyah, Sheikh Masalam bin Said Al Mahrooqi, Wali of Sur.
The project reflects the care accorded by the government in terms of road services, said Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Futaisi, Minister of Transport and Communications adding that the arched steel bridges were used on the project for the first time in the Sultanate of Oman. Phase Two of the project comprises 12 kilometres.
