#OmanPride: Tropical rainforest comes to Oman

Muscat: Visitors to the “tropical rainforest” in Al Naseem Gardens will have the opportunity to escape from Oman’s usual mountains and deserts.
The lush green plants and exotic flowers offer relief and relaxation, as visitors walk through the artificial rainforest, which is just one of the many attractions of Muscat Festival 2017.

Exotic animals, such as baboons, ducks and rabbits, will also greet visitors as they enter the artificial forest.
Plants from across the world, including bamboo, palm trees and other strange and unusual shrubs, can also be seen during the exhibit.
Guests can take a to walk along a trail around the rainforest that gives them the illusion of walking in a jungle.
There are also lakes on either side of the exhibition that feature gold fish and water lilies, which are sights that cannot be seen in Oman.
In addition to visually entertaining the guests who walk along the trail, the exhibit will also enable them to “feel” the rainforest, when short bursts of water will mimic the drizzle in a real rainforest.
Muscat Festival continues until February 22, and visitors should not miss the on stage performances and other entertainment, including planned sporting activities, right up to the end of the festival.
