Muscat: Omani drift champion Ali Al Balushi has signed up as the brand ambassador of Awasr, Oman’s premier provider of specialised broadband internet services, representing the coming together of two vibrant names associated with speed and action in the Sultanate.
Al Balushi also known as the ‘King of Drift’ has yet again managed to be on the podium at the Red Bull Car Park Drift Oman this year when he took second place at the Competition held on December 9 for the first time in Oman.

In September 2016, Awasr organised a FIFA video gaming tournament at its state of the art Awasr store in Avenues Mall in which 32 teams of Barcelona fans from all parts of Oman participated in a keenly fought on-screen contest using Awasr’s high speed internet connection for the best player title. A similar contest was held at the store for Real Madrid fans, which also involved the participation of 32 teams from all across the Sultanate.
Awasr has emerged as the champion of fibre based internet services in the Sultanate with its 1Gbps Fibrenet Home package. Apart from the 1 Gbps fastest internet package, which comes for just OMR 150, Awasr is offering other competitively priced Fibrenet Home packages, with rates starting as low as OMR 29 per month for 20 Mbps to OMR 50 for 50 Mbps, and OMR 70 for 150 Mbps. Its Fibrenet Business packages include 5 Mbps for small businesses, 10 and 30 Mbps for medium businesses, and 70 and 120 Mbps internet for large businesses.
