Thinking Day celebrated at Indian School Salalah



Salalah: Scouts and Guides Wing of Indian School Salalah celebrated World Thinking Day on 20 February 2013 to mark the birth anniversary of the founder of the scouts and guides movement,  Lord Baden Powell.

The Principal Mr. T.R.Brown, VicePrincipalMrs.OmanaMathews , Assistant Vice PrincipalMr.Srinivasanand the Middle school In charge Mrs. Raji Susan Varkey   graced the occasion. The Programme began with a prayer song. Allister Benny from class VI B welcomed the gathering and gave a brief introduction about Lord  Baden Powell.

Patriotic songs were sung by the school scouts and guides followedby  speeches on Lord Baden Powell  which were presented in Hindi and in English by Uthkarshaand Preetha. Class VI Scouts and guides did apresentation on the various attitudes of man. A well enacted skit cum demonstration on First aid  performed by class VII created  awareness and it stressed on the fact that basic knowledge of first aid is a must for every individual.
 At the end, Mrs. PonniBhaskar, Incharge, Scouts and guides in her vote of thanks, thanked   the Principal, Vice Principal and Assistant Vice Principal for their guidance and support. She also thanked the Scout Masters and Guide Captains who did their best to impart possible scouting during the given time schedule. She appreciated and thanked the scouts and guides who took part in the guard of honour during Cluster Meet,Annual Athletic Meet and  the volunteers  for their valuable service in School Annual Day functions.

The Principal Mr. T.R.Brownapplauded the efforts   put in by  the students and teachers for putting up a laudable programme.
